Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme

It’s only a week or so before Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme launches into SpaceNK, and it’s really quite special. The coverage is genuinely amazing (or, I found it so). The colour I was sent wasn’t right for me – a little on the dark side so I looked like a Benidorm extra – but that didn’t stop me from clocking the coverage – for such a lightweight foundation, it’s extremely good.

The bumph says that it’s ‘weightless’ and I can’t say I found that to be true – it doesn’t feel at all heavy, but neither is it truly weightless. I would say my skin feels waterproofed – or showerproof maybe – but it’s still breathable; my complexion doesn’t feel stifled. It’s no surprise that it feels like this given its 24 Hour wear billing (no, I’m not putting it to the test).

We can put the coverage down to the fact that Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme contains 21% pigment concentration – that’s high, and it comes in twenty shades from palest porcelain through to deep, dark Cacao. Even for a brand that’s much smaller than the big guns, Becca does a great job in providing foundations for all tones. Just from feeling this product on my skin, I’d say you need to prep well with hydrators, particularly if you have dry skin in the first place, but otherwise, I love this.

Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme is £34 launching into SpaceNK and Liberty from February.

  1. That sounds like a really good product – though I must stop myself as I’m becoming addicted to finding the ‘perfect’ base!

I agree Chloe, I will be trying this I just can’t resist as it looks so good, having said that I do really like cc and bb creams anyway. Good job I tend to use them all up and mix them if they arnt quite right, I can’t stand the waste otherwise.

  3. How do you think this will work with very oily skin?

Actually, I think it would be okay – very oily is tricky to deal with I know, but I felt if anything it sat on the ‘drier’ side so probably a good option. However, do ask for a sample or have it applied in store before buying if you are in any doubt.

  4. Becca do such great bases and they really do put the big brands to shame with their extensive cover range. They seem to have discontinued my shade of Luminous Skin tinted moisturiser which was ideal for my dry skin. I’ll be sure to check this out next week.
