If you love cruelty free make up and you don’t know US brand, Beauty Bakerie, you’re in for some treats! Best known for their matte finish liquid lipsticks, Lip Whips, the brand has been around for 5 years.
The formula goes on light, with just a tiny hint of tack, but unlike many matte liquids, made my lips feel incredibly soft although, like every single matte product, my lips looked super crinkled! The staying power is excellent and despite the fact that the brand name indicates that the products might be awash with vanilla and strawberry shortcakiness in terms of fragrance, I really couldn’t pick up any scent at all. This is a major plus for those of us who don’t really like the foodie in our beauty.
The shades (not quite dry yet) from bottom to top are: Louvre Palace, French Toast, Versailles, Fortune Cookie and Bae Cake, although this a small selection from the range.
The other products I tried from the range are the Eyescream To Go Smudge Free Eyeshadows. So far, the pale shade I tried hasn’t budged an inch, and it is recommended you use an oil based cleanser to remove them. They’re a flat matte in finish, but very blendable initially, before they dry. Many matte, cream shadows do a shrinking thing on the lid which can make lids look less smooth, but I didn’t notice that here.
The colours from bottom to top are: Pancake Icecream, Sugar Coated, Mint Bacio and Back Milk Gelato. They’re £11.95 HERE and the Lip Whips are £14.95.
