[unpaid/sample] I’ve delayed posting about this Artis brush set for so long it’s actually IN stock! I am usually a bit too early with reviews on this brand (or they’ve been featured somewhere that has caused a sell out) but not this time!
These are all brushes I’ve featured before so you already know that I love them but sets, despite the price, always seem to do very well for this brand. The palm and the larger oval are the brushes I use the most and are looking very swish indeed in their rose gold outfit. They’re so reflective you can see me mirrored in my blue sweater!
I don’t want to cover old ground too much but this style of brush is effective at blending product because there are just so many fibres packed into them so that they glide over the skin. The last new release Artis brush I tried was specifically for putting on skin care and it’s such a nice, caring way to treat your face. I see a lot of brushes and can’t get as geeky as some but I do have my favourites and these always go straight into the make up drawer and get used over and over.
They’ve collaborated with make up artist Hannah Martin (honestly, one of the nicest people in beauty) for tips and application tricks (see HERE) that are simple to apply to your routine. Although I’ve never come to prefer the Artis eye brushes over the traditional style, I very rarely use anything else on my face now.
The other thing to mention is that I have never had one break – I used to have a few from other brands that did a similar job but the handles snapped at the flex point before the head rendering them unusable. I think if you like exceptional quality in your form and function, these are for you – but please do bear in mind that you can get less expensive versions (even if they do snap they give you feel for the style of brush). I wish they’d make more of that space in the brush handles – I can see some artistic collaborations going on there that would be amazing – Yayoi Kusama for a start! I’d rush for those :-). Anyway, if you’re feeling spendy, the set is HERE – this is the Artis in the US link (they ship for free over $55) and it’s $137 there which is around £101.
