Anna Sui Spring 2017

Anna Sui Spring 2017

Anna Sui Spring 2017 is nothing short of an absolute joy! Fiddly, but joyful. If you remember, Anna Sui had a revamp before Christmas with new singles in all sorts of textures and finishes that you could build your own palette. Each shadow, gloss and blush is metallic in the packaging so that you have a strong magnetic effect and they sit tight in the palettes.

These beauty sweeties are exactly the same – and they come as a set of two (presumably if you have any of the existing singles, you can slot them in because there is room in the palette for far more than two), one gloss and one eyeshadow. On the downside, the circular ‘chocolate box’ palette does seem oddly empty with only a gloss and a shadow inside.

At the same time, there are 3 marbled effect lipsticks in the signature star shape bullet that looks impossible to apply but is, in fact, no different to any other lipstick once in use. The marbling is there to look pretty – it doesn’t really impact the colour and across all three shades you get a lovely, glossy finish with only light pigment. I’d say they’re more gloss in finish than traditional lipstick. If you love gazing at pretty, beauty things, all boxes are ticked here!

I can’t quite bear to swatch the ‘chocolates’ yet, but the lipsticks are above: 02, 03 and 01. I know these have so much more to offer, design wise, than many but I still think they’re a bit pricy at £23 HERE each. The Lip & Eye duo, including the palette, is £25 HERE. I must say that the lipstick swatches don’t do them justice really – you don’t see any of the uneven marble effect on the lips at all. They all have a tiny smattering of shimmer in them.

  1. Anna Sui lip products really remind me of when I was a kid and got all sorts of cute little pots of glittery jelly glosses shaped like candies and whatnot…!

  2. Those chocolate box palettes are adorable!
