[productsample/affiliate] Last summer, I let my hair go completely free of dye – I’m not particularly bothered by greys possibly because I don’t have loads but what I liked best was not having to worry about my colour. My hair just did its thing and actually went much lighter than I was expecting it to.
This year, I’m still undecided about letting the dye go (I have semi-permanent) or not, but in the meantime, since I’ve recently had it done and it’s getting sunny, I’ve been using the Moroccanoil Protect & Prevent Spray to give my hair some UV protection and hopefully hang on to the colour a bit longer. The spray comes out as a very fine mist which gives good coverage so you don’t have to worry about missing any bits.
As well as sunscreens to absorb rays, the spray contains antioxidants, thermal protection (if you use straighteners, this is quite an important protective step) and acts as a mild detangler. My hair tends to like Moroccanoil products anyway – possibly because of the oils which I don’t find weighty (yes, I know there are silicones too but my hair LOVES them!) and unlike other colour protectors I’ve tried, it doesn’t seem to feel like there is ‘product’ there post blow dry which is exactly what I want.
