Hand on heart, I didn’t expect to like this as much as I do. I’m not sure what I was expecting but it certainly wasn’t a glorious, sparkly orange sherbet-y scent. When I investigate the notes, it’s no surprise, because along with the orange flower which my nose immediately seized upon, there’s tiare and jasmine – exactly the notes that really speak to me. Top notes of passion fruit give it a sweet, fruity vibe that’s nearly candy-ish but not quite.
You’d think, from the notes, that Tommy Girl Weekend Getaway would be heavy and it’s anything but. Maybe a tiny bit too light if anything but it does perfectly capture the holiday mood – I’m walking along Miami beach in a white floaty thing and an Instagram ‘vacay’ wide-brim sunhat in my head, not sitting in south east London! I’d say snap this up at duty free but it’s actually on a massively discounted offer at The Perfume Shop for £18.99 HERE.
