Tocca Stella Fragrance

[productsample/affiliatelink] The more I see of Tocca the more I like it. I’ve already found a couple of fragrances from this US brand that sit by my laptop for quick spritzes on my way out (Florence and Maya), but I’ve found another to join them – Stella. Better yet, I’ve discovered the 20ml versions that come in a beautiful book-style box.

Tocca Fragrance

Stella is a beautiful citrus blend – blood orange, freesia, lily and sandalwood – that’s rounded and full. It’s not a fresh and summery fragrance at all because once it’s on the skin it warms to an embracing, sweet scent that makes me think of snuggling up in winter. There’s a bit of spice to the lily notes but not so that it becomes festive – it’s just a comfort, feel-good scent.

Cleopatra isn’t quite my kind of perfume although it should be as it’s lead by grapefruit notes. It’s a blend of jasmine, tuberose, patchouli, amber and vanilla musk and it’s the latter that I suspect is why it’s not quite for me. There’s something quite clean smelling in this until the dry down which turns it into a more rich scent. In my head, I categorize this as an evening perfume although I know that these parametres don’t really exist any more.

I love the 20ml size and its presentation – at £42 it becomes more of an affordable – and giftable – proposition. Small size perfumes always appeal to me so much more than larger bottles – things change, you don’t always feel like smelling of the same thing, and god forbid if you go off it after you’ve spent the past of £100 on it. It makes me think there should be a fragrance exchange website or facebook group. Perhaps there already is! You can find the 20ml Tocca fragrances HERE, non affiliate HERE.
