Soohyang Scented Tablets

Soohyang Scented Tablets

I don’t think I’ve ever had a scented wax tablet before and I am very, very happy to have this from from Soohyang, a brand I’m predicting to be the home scent equivalent of Glossier. I recently reviewed a Soohyang candle which I loved, but I’m really a little obsessed with the wax tablets. I try never to say ‘I’m obsessed’ because everyone says it about everything, but I find myself thinking about it and wanting to hurry up and photograph it so that I can get it upstairs to tie on my wardrobe clothes rail and scent the whole thing with Violette.

Created by Korean, Kim Soohyang, Soohyang the brand began life in 2013 and has become a sensation in its homeland. There is a line up of 33 scents – including Raindrops and Sleep Well as well as Gangnam which I thought was a style thanks to Psy, not an area of Seoul! Honestly. Everything is right with this range – fragrances are gently intriguing but easy on the nose – they’re more improvers than challengers – and there is a very clean olfactory backdrop to all of them. I know that the range is sold at Fenwick who don’t have a retail website (I know), but the brand is coming to more stores soon and I will flag it up as soon as they do. I hope it’s before Christmas because I would love to buy some gifts from the collection.

Violette is a crisp parma violet fragrance – sweet and green with some of the sugar taken out of the traditional parma violet aroma. It’s so pretty.

*Not suitable for vegans.
