[unpaid/ad/sample] You know when a fragrance just hits the mood of the moment square on? That’s how I felt when I smelled Shiro’s Savon fragrance – that it had just pinged all the right senses with a wash of peacefulness.
The name gives the nature of the fragrance away, but to me it’s more like fresh, clean sheets on a pristine bed with a twist of lemon on the side. Structurally, there is no citrus listed – white florals, plum, rose and lily – so I’m guessing perhaps that it’s a sharp plum note that putting me in mind of it. It’s absolutely the sort of fragrance you could sleep in and drift off so nicely and calmly.
The musky down-notes are subtle but elevate the skin scent aspect of this fragrance. Really, if I smelled this on someone I’d break my hugging ban and get as close to them as I possibly could! I find it an absolute delight for not being demanding to understand, for not being a myriad of changing notes, for not overwhelming my senses and for just being a beautiful, comforting smell. I’ve just spotted that washing detergent and fabric conditioner are available in the same fragrance and that is mighty tempting although rather a decadent way to deal with socks.
