[productsample/affiliate] The name ‘Secret Gardenia’ is inspired by secret London gardens and that’s definitely sparked something in me because I’m always curious about what’s behind the house facades. I’m a poor gardener but gathering more interest and ability as time goes on.

Miller Harris Secret Gardenia

Gardenia is a flower that I’ve never really found exciting and yet in this blend, it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s given more personality by jasmine, ylang-ylang and a fresh kick of yuzu to brighten it up.

Miller Harris Secret Gardenia

I think the key to a successful gardenia fragrance is what you wrap it in so it doesn’t sit with its rather old-fashioned connotations. Making it modern without losing personality is tricky and if anything, I would have liked more yuzu, but it settled onto my skin as a bright and creamy presence that I really enjoyed. The last is good – it stayed the day and there’s a power to it so you don’t need more than the lightest of spritzes. Which is helpful to know because at £115 for 100ml and £75 for 50ml, it’s certainly sitting in the luxury price bracket. You can find it HERE (non-affiliate HERE) if you are all done with festive fragrances and need something positive and bright to get you through January.
