Michael Kors Turquoise

Michael Kors Turquoise

I was expecting the Michael Kors Turquoise fragrance to be more aquatic that it actually is to my nose. But, while there are definitely over-riding floral notes, it’s like an iced gin and tonic on a hot day – refreshing, cucumbery and boosting.

Notes are cucumber, lime, water lily (who truly knows the scent of a water lily? Not me, that’s for sure!) with wild orchid and jasmine. My nose picks out the jasmine very strongly, but it’s not a strong, overwhelming fragrance by any means. It’s shot through with a ‘marine’ accord (maybe you need to be by the sea to appreciate that) and woody bottom notes that only become apparent after some time.

I like it, but not sure I’d rush out to drench myself in it, not least because it didn’t, on me anyway, have huge last. If you like a light and breezy summer scent, it’s very pretty. You can find it HERE from £39.

I bought this this week, because it was cheap enough to take a risk on. I really like it – my benchmark for perfume on me is L’eau D’Issey, and while I don’t love this quite as much it is very much in my wheelhouse. On me it’s very fresh jasmine up front, then a warmer & slightly woody salty jasmine drydown. But not lasting!
