This is such a quiet looking product that it would have completely passed me by if it weren’t for the fact that I saw someone on one of my channels asking about grown up body sprays. Which is a very good point – if you don’t want to smell like a strawberry cupcake or candied banana, you’re kind of out of options (although I’ve discovered in searching that you can still by Tweed, Charlie and Tabac body sprays!). Yardley have a few floral fragranced ones but it does seem that there is a massive gap for anything a bit posher and less flammable.
I don’t know why but I feel a bit annoyed (truly) that the packaging of Meraki Grapefruit Body Spray doesn’t even begin to reflect just how lovely, vibrant, uplifting and lasting it is.
It’s so much all the things in the backdrop and so little the blank canvas of the bottle. Could they not just put a little picture of a grapefruit on it! But, Meraki taps into the Scandi trend with a clean layout and a natural slant (it is the only brand that I have EVER seen as being without ‘endocrine disrupting substances’) and is actually from Denmark. Maybe we’re too used to fussy things and brands being overly obvious but I would have walked by this spray and it would have been a mistake.
So, if you love a truly life like citrus that puts a smile on your face and skip in your step, then don’t miss this. Grapefruit smells a whole lot better than it tastes, which is kind of a metaphor for this body spray. It’s £26 HERE.
