[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Well, this is like all my birthdays at once! Pomelo has been one of my most favourite fragrances ever since I first smelled it in 2011. Ten years later, it’s still just as juicy, just as fresh and just as deliciously zesty as it’s ever been and I love it exactly the same now as I did then. I only tasted a pomelo for the first time last year and it was so disappointing but a friend told me to persevere because some are better than others so the first decent taste of a nice pomelo was last week! And I’m hooked.
When it comes to application, it’s personal choice. I like the paintbrush style applicator – soft strokes of citrus and vetiver with some earthy undertones is just delicious whichever way you apply but there’s something lovely about being specific with the landing spot.
Everything about this is appealing to me – it’s one of the few fragrances that I think I will keep in the box because that yellow strip at the bottom is so joyful. The fragrance is suspended in a gel which dries almost straight away on the skin but has a beautiful cool aspect on application. As you can see the brush comes with a refill and its easy to change when you run out of the first one. The fragrance is at home in any season although I think that perhaps spring is the perfect time for it as it gives a promise of summer to come. Pomelos in this country don’t taste good at all. I recommend you try the type in South East Asia if you ever find yourself in that region!

I love the idea of a brush applicator – has anyone else done that yet? It’s quite hard to get a spray fragrance to settle exactly where you want it without ending up in a cloud of it! So this is a brilliant idea and so is the price point.
I’ve never tried Pomelo so looking forward to finding a tester. Make up and fragrance are pretty much the only reasons I need the shops to re-open! I’m actually enjoying shopping online but I daren’t buy a scent that way – I like to try it on my skin first and walk around in it for a bit.

Only relatively recently able to get here – other than in specialist shops. Definitely not in the mainstream fruit aisles – yet!!
I love the fragrance but I find the paintbrush applicator a waste of resources and completely out of touch with the trend for sustainability. You can’t recycle it, it’s a mix of plastic and metal. Just more waste.
You can buy refills so that you keep the brush but just top up when empty.
Does it keep it’s scent fresh on the brush if you don’t use regularly? I’d be worried it would oxidise and smell off.
I’ve had several of these pens and it’s never happened – you can always rinse and paper dry the brush though from time to time.
