The Hawaiian Tropic Fragrance Mists are so far away from the sort of things I’d usually like that I nearly didn’t test them at all. But, as it turns out, I love them in an updated blast from the past. I think they’re the kind of thing that Daisy Duke would have worn and what’s not to love about a Hazzard reference! They’re certainly not for the fragrance discerning – the top ingredient is alcohol, followed by water but to be fair, they’re not shy on actual fragrance.
The scents themselves don’t last long, but Golden Paradise (described as ‘warm sand and creamy coconut) is very more-ish, in the way that sweet things can be. In fact, they’re all along the sweet route – Sunkissed Dreams (lotus flower and sheer musks) is a bit cocktail-y, while Summer Dreams (passion flower, mango & musks) is every kind of pick n mix. Lastly, and sorry to say that Island Resort (rain kissed orchid and pomgranate) smells like one of my kitchen cleaners.
They’re £10 – personally, if you’re going to blast the past, I’d go for Golden Paradise and Sunkissed Dreams, but what’s more significant is that it’s a body mist revival so I think we could see lots of other brands following suit. I’ve linked to a Superdrug offer where it’s two for £15 – I think it’s way too expensive at £10 a bottle. Find Hawaiian Tropic Fragrance Mists HERE.
