Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Passiflora

Aqua Allegoria is the ‘fresh’ arm of Guerlain fragrances designed to have the piquancy and sharpness of a cologne with the hold of a fragrance – an ideal summer perfume. They’re the kind of scents that make you go ‘ooh’ at first spritz because they have such a resonance with the summer mood. Passiflora is the newest version to join the 10 strong line-up for 2018. Generally, Guerlain releases a new Aqua Allegoria each year but they’re all limited editions for that year and they may or may not be brought back in subsequent years.

Passiflora

Passiflora is Passion Flower by another name but the first burst of this fragrance is all fruit. That initial spritz is the ‘ooh’ moment, with the sweetness of passionfruit and citrussy freshness from lemon, grapefruit and mandarin, like an icy cold drink in the heat of the day. There’s an aquatic note too which just adds to the freshness while the addition of ylang ylang gives it a tropical kick.

In a nutshell, it’s sunshine, holidays, cocktails and good times all rolled into one – what a delight. When it launches on 1st April, it will be £52 for 75ml.
