The very first thing that popped into my mind when I smelled this was fruit, and sure enough, one of its key features is blackberry. When rose and patchouli kick in too, it becomes a big fragrance – there’s nothing shy about this scent.
The undertones are what gets the fragrance world excited – Goldenwood is a little used type of Cypress note, known for its dryness on the nose and there’s a splash of vetiver in there, too. The fruit stays but the dry-down is very smooth and creamy. The evolution of fragrance world means there are no rules but this does feel like an embracing winter fragrance to me – a hearty, enveloping scent that needs velvet and leather alongside it.
