[sample/affiliate] I’ve been going through January in a really good mood until this week where the ‘winter blues’ have hit. I used to find winter such a struggle and I don’t now what the difference is between then and now, but I’ve maintained my mood really well … skipped through November and December!
I’m not going to stretch credulity by saying that a candle solves anything but I really am enjoying the sharpness of this fragrance from Floris that brings some zest to the room and somewhat lifts the mood. It’s quite a light scent and has rounded the edges of grapefruit that can sometimes be just a bit too bitter. I can’t say truly that I could identify the rosemary precisely but there is a herbal element there that adds an extra dimension.

The point is that I’m enjoying it and when that January mood hits, it’s important to identify the joy and savour it. It’s sometimes hard being an older woman in the beauty industry because it’s so skewed against us but something like this candle, that doesn’t make any assumptions about age, ethnicity or ability is where the joy is at right now. I loved this post so much, feeling that age bias too. This candle sounds essential! Floris (a beloved company) have been updating their news excitedly in my inbox recently, and this combination really appeals. I’ve been burning rosemary and lemon in my diffuser, craving the lift you describe. This would be a much simpler end surely more delicious option. Sold!
