[productsample/affiliate] I was away when this candle arrived which is a shame because it’s not now available on line but will be coming back in a few months. You can still buy it at the Diptyque store on Brook Street in London (perhaps they’ll post it) but otherwise, one to look out for when it re-emerges.

Shanghai

As you’d expect, the fragrance of the Shanghai candle has its roots in Chinese tradition. I don’t have a great deal of information about the notes but osmanthus flowers and green tea feature strongly. I feel as though I’m getting some light spices from it, too.

Diptyque Shanghai City Candle

As far as I understand it, each city candle is available in their named city all of the time, but the entire collection goes visiting at various times. There are now nine city candles – London, Berlin, Paris, Hong Kong, New York, Tokyo, Shanghai and Miami. Hands down, the Tokyo candle is the prettiest with a white background and red flowers. Anyway, I’m sorry I missed the launch date for these (although I was only away for three days so it must have come right on the nose of launch) but they’ll be back (£54)!
