I always think that festively fragranced candles or diffusers are rather wasted as Christmas gifts – to my mind, they need to be a pre-Christmas gift (to self!) so those wonderful aromas can help to create an atmosphere in the run-up. My family makes fun of me for wanting to pack up decorations as quickly as possible – I can’t help it – Christmas day eve I catch myself mentally putting the whole lot away and getting my house back! Especially cards.
The Crabtree & Evelyn Bird Diffuser is part of their festive range (obviously) in their Noel fragrance – a lightly sweet pine scent with a touch of citrus. I’ve had this going for a couple of days and it’s not too strong – it’s not going to blast your room with intense winter forest notes but it’s nice to have a waft when I pass it. Some Christmas fragrances are so eucalyptus and pine laden that they clear your sinuses. Plus, it’s a very pretty thing if you like birds, which I do. I think it’s rather steep at £45, but it does promise a 3 month last. It hits stores in a couple of weeks.

I’d be prepared to put money down to bet that you won’t have experienced a skin care texture like this before...
