It goes without saying that if you love Chanel No.5, then you’re going to love the Chanel No.5 Body Oil. Chanel No.5 afficionados always seem to find fault with anything that veers even slightly away from the original fragrance and I’m afraid to say that my nose is not sophisticated enough to distinguish those fractional nuances.

So, I find this all of the powdery, soapy-floral bliss that I like from No.5 in general. The bottle has a spray nozzle and the oil itself is very light in consistency but still lays down a skin softening sheen full of fragrance. It’s a sort of half way dry oil – not completely dry (a good thing in my view) but not as gloopy on the skin as a full oil. It’s noticable that skin feels immediately smoother.

The Chanel No.5 Body Oil is part of the (very small) Christmas offering this year – I think Chanel has focussed all attention on Lucia Pica ranges and I’m always surprised that they don’t do more seasonal products. If you’re going to splash out on that logo, Christmas is the time that I would have thought you’d be most likely to do it. The Body Oil is £68 (I was expecting it to be more) and launches on October 28th.

This sounds perfect for Chanel No 5 fans. Love a body oil but my only complaint is they seem to get used up too quickly! I have a couple of the Roger & Gallet range and they are delicious. I wonder if Chanel will bring out body oils for Allure and Coco Mademoiselle too.
This sounds dreamy, but I think I’d be too afraid to use it up just based on the price! Wouldn’t mind adding it to my vanity top though…

I love the body lotion, so I might treat myself to this for Christmas.
Help trying to buy this for my mum for Christmas but can’t find it anywhere. Have I left it too late to buy?
I’ve also had a quick scoot around the internet and can’t find it.. it might be just at counters or stores and not an on-line product.
