At the back of my mind, I think I’ve seen a gel perfume from Chanel before, but I’ve certainly never seen a trio like this. It’s just lovely – with three variations of Chance in a shimmery type gel that actually feels quite cool to the touch but balmy on the skin. And, the shimmer is almost imperceptible, just the tiniest little twinkles – a good thing in my book if you like to dab traditionally behind the ears: it’s no place for glitter.
The apricot shade gel perfume is Chance Eau Vive, the pink is Chance Eau Tendre and the green is Chance Eau Fraiche.
Each one is 5g so it’s a fairly fleeting olfactory glimpse, and I find them very gentle in fragrance. But, what a special gift it would be!
The ‘three moods’ aspect is a very modern interpretation of an original set produced by Chanel in 1939 which came first in hat box style packaging and then in a ‘travel set’. Everything, one way or another, that comes out of Chanel right now is researched from genuine brand heritage and archives. A lot of ‘heritage’ brands could learn from this impeccible production.
These launch on June 2nd for £60 and the set is limited edition.
