Just thought I’d do a quick run down of some gift ideas I’ve spotted for Mother’s Day: I’m sure you already have it covered but just in case! I love doing these posts to change things up from beauty temporarily – it gives me total permission to cruise about the internet looking at pretty things! But of course, there are a couple of beauty ideas too – absolutely not anti-ageing! I never do quite get the ‘gift of anti-ageing’ – “here, Mum, you’re looking a bit ropy, Happy Mother’s Day!”

Both my children have asked me what I want for Mother’s Day (Max was keen to choose me something to wear but I know how that goes so discreetly veered him away from the idea!) and I just want some flowers – a little bunch of daffs would do me fine. It reminded me that it’s the last day (6th) to pre-order the M&S Flowers with free chocolates and free delivery (HERE) – there’s nothing not to like about this offer and bunches start from £35, but I prefer the 100 Stem Daffodils & Tulip bouquet above which is on offer for £25 HERE and you can add your own chocs! This feels like an easy win and I’ve never known M&S flowers to be disappointing.

Hush T

I love a Hush T Shirt – they’re always great quality and roomy. The cut on this one has some detail – side split at the bottom and a roll on the sleeves. It’s got a white/red option too with the words “Love saves the day” which seems appropriate for Mother’s Day. I’d wear this with my jeans or on a fast walk with joggers. It’s a great holiday wear too. You can find it HERE for £35. I’ve got my eye on that light gold belt, too – it’s £49 HERE

(There’s a similar metallic mix version of that belt in the main picture of this post at £15 at M&S HERE)

Smythson Notebook

I think ‘noting’ is  a dying thing because we all have phones. My mum has a phone that dinosaurs could use because it’s so old and, born in an age where you ‘turn things off if you’re not using them’, she won’t put it on unless she actually wants to use it – which is about three times a year. So as a consequence, she is a prolific ‘noter’ and a little bit of that rubs off on me. I usually have a notebook in my bag and I have to to admit, I go luxury for it. I always get a Smythson diary (yes, still using paper diaries) so they’re my go-to for notebooks, too. It’s fair to say that I probably use an entire one in a year – I’m not that prolific – so it feels like something to special to savour and appreciate so I don’t mind the spend. This one is £45 HERE, with various colour and wording options. They’re leather with the finest blue paper inside and come so nicely packaged.

Clinique Sonic

See, I think this is something of a bargain at £39.50. You get the sonic cleanser (which is great, by the way, if you like to pay attention to your skin cleansing) but also a Marimekko bag and all the goodies you see above: Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes & Lips, 50ml, Smart SPF 15 Custom Moisturiser, 15ml, Smart Custom-Repair Eye Treatment, 5ml, Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen in Black, 0.34g, High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara in Black, 3.5ml, Pop Lip Colour and Primer, Bare Pop, 3.8g. It’s at John Lewis HERE.

Coin Purse

This is such a glam little coin purse – super useful (I keep my phone ear-buds in mine and stamps in another) even if you never accumulate coins! I have so many and the only one that actually has coins is the one I keep in my car! This silver purse is from John Lewis and I think nicely priced at £20 HERE.

Damselfly

I can’t not give another shout out to these Damselfly Candles at SpaceNK – this one’s apple, clove buds, pear and white musk with a backdrop of flowers. Yum! It’s £50 HERE.

Non Affs: John Lewis, HUSH, Smythson, Marks & Spencer, SpaceNK,
