Floral Midi Dresses

There was a fashion feature in the Guardian about six-eight weeks ago that (amongst me and my friends) sparked the notion of wearing long flowery dresses with boots and big cardis as being essential. I’ve been looking for a dress to get this look out of my system – the cardi I found no problem at all at Zara and have an embarrassment of boots but could I find a dress? No. The Guardian feature was just a bit too soon and probably written by someone who had seen what was to come because now they’re everywhere. I’m not a dress person but I do like the idea of the look. I’ve bought an ASOS dress (main page picture sizes 6 to 14 £35 HERE) and they have a few styles that might fit the brief. The one above is the same pattern but a slightly different style at Topshop (£32 HERE sizes 6-16) I think once you have your dress and chunky knit, you’re supposed to go on Instagram nonchalantly kicking leaves on a country walk or leaning against a pastel house.

Nobody’s Child Long Sleeve Wrap Dress In Cherry Print

If you’re happy to go shorter, this is such a cute cherry print – I wish they’d made it a midi as well! It’s £32 HERE. All sizes from 6 to 16.

Happy leaf kicking!
