I know.. I know.. no Accessory Wednesdays for ages, and then two in one day. BUT, I am such a sucker for a Smythson notebook that I’ve been completely captured by the Shakespeare Collection. I really hope that Smythson does more collections like this one (they also have a Rolling Stones collection as well if you’re more Rock than Romeo) because in their way, they just remind you that life is now as it always was. I can’t pretend to be a Shakespeare buff but there are certain phrases, no matter who wrote them, that resonate, and Shakespeare was remarkably good at penning lines that people never forget. I’m flagging the ‘This Above All, To Thine Own Self Be True..’, but there are five others to choose from.

I have a Smythson diary every year – just a little one – because I really don’t like electronic diaries. For a long time, the time zone on my phone diary was set incorrectly and I kept getting notifications for meetings at 3 a.m. which was highly confusing! The only thing I wish is that the Smythson Shakespeare Collection came in more colours – navy is a bit sombre for some of the quotes.
