I stayed off social media over the Easter weekend and went shopping instead (as well as going to the opera and binge-watching Queer Eye) for summer trousers. The best ones always seem to have sold out by the time the sun shows its face so I don’t care if its only April – these had to be mine! If you’ve read this site a while you’ll know I have an unrivalled black trouser collection – whenever I try to branch off to something else other than jeans, I just end up thinking they’d be much better in black. This pair, the Talia Stripe, are actually a deep, deep navy shade which I can manage, made from lightweight, silk like material, and are pull on and high waist. Easy as anything to wear with jumpers, t-shirts or strappy tops. I’ve got a waist but rarely show it, preferring to go for a boxy look. I have a pale grey boxy chunky cotton sweater I’d wear with these and also an oversize white sequin t-shirt, but really, if you’re curvy, these are going to do nothing but flatter your shape whether you tuck or cover. They’re £128 HERE and also available in coral.
These black trousers, The Tailia Trouser, are exactly the same on the waist as the stripe trouser at the top of the post but are a little more cropped in the leg. Length just doesn’t matter with this style – they’re straight and slightly wide – and they’re so light in weight that I can imagine wearing them on the hottest summer day because they go with absolutely anything. Kind of can’t go wrong trousers, whether you’re straight, curvy or anything in between. When I bought mine they were full price at £128 but they’re on offer for £89.60 at the moment. I’m a size 12 and Medium is perfect for me (same for the pair above). They’re HERE.
Again, this is a no-zip style – just chuck on and go – and they’ve got a stripe contrast in the black cotton material. It took me all of 30 seconds to see, try and buy this pair which are cropped (not so much when you’re 5ft 3″!) and just waiting for gold Fitflops to go with them (yes, they’ve also got a sale on.. le sigh.. see below). They’re super comfortable although I had to adjust my thinking to the waist – personally I think this is tuck in job only but if you have a waist these trousers will make it look gorgeously nipped. They’re £89 HERE.
Were £55, now £38.50 HERE. I’m saying nothing more.
