Westlab Epsom Salts

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I cannot remember the last time I used a bath bomb – but here we are! I might have mentioned my love of yoga (don’t worry, I know I have over-mentioned it) and while I’m not doing anything so impossibly bendy that I require a hot bath and lie down after every session, it’s certainly a great way to unwind after an excess of crow poses.

Westlab Epsom Salts

I swear by Epsom salt baths in any case – they have a much more curative feel than hot water alone because it’s thought that the absorption of magnesium helps to relieve aches. I certainly find it the case although steeping in a hot bath is good for soul as well as the body no matter what.

Westlab Epsom Salts

I’ve been trying a variety of Westlab Epsom Salts products over the past couple of weeks – I think you should go with the scent options that please you most over and above the name (happy to see that there is a Pink Gin version HERE which I love the sound of – it goes past the worthiness and gets straight to the fun). Each one has a different element, such as extra seaweed, and a different scent. I have Lemongrass & Pink Grapefruit and Lavender & Jasmine in the loose salts and Spearmint & Eucalyptus and Rose & Pomegranate in the bombs and while you could never call the scents overpowering, you definitely get the drift of each.

Westlab Epsom Salts

Whenever I get a new pack of loose salts, I feel so rich in product because the bags feel huge and heavy that I’m overly generous and then when the bag gets lighter and smaller, regret the abandon and feel I should have eked them out more. But, these aren’t expensive – if you cruise around the internet you’ll find them on offer in several places and because of the weight (and that so many shops are shut) they’re definitely something to let the delivery van take the strain on. Cleanse is on offer for £4.99 instead of £6.99 HERE, non-affiliate HERE, but Westlab Epsom Salts are quite readily available at Boots and Holland & Barret amongst others.

  1. Cal while it soothes aches and pains,

Don’t run screaming from the kitchen, but I like to mix Epsom salts with Marvel powdered milk, for chucking into the bath (mixed in a ginormous jar). Gorgeously moisturising while it soothes aches and pains, and no aftermath of curdling, by the way.
Plus the bath water looks like you’re Cleopatra, of course.

I find Epsom salts send me right to sleep too- brilliant just before bed. They’re so good.
