Weleda Christmas Gift

Despite all the glitz and glam gift sets I’ve seen, I’m so impressed with Weleda’s offering this year. If you don’t know the brand, it was founded in 1921 by three forward thinkers embracing holistic therapies. Weleda is now a leading brand in the world of natural and organic products. Half a million people subscribe to the Weleda magazine if testament was needed to the rise of the desire for more nature based beauty.

This box contains the brand’s hero products, so it’s a good way to get to know what they do best and everything is geared towards winter skin. Skin Food was one of Weleda’s first ever products formulated to tackle really dry and flaky skin. Citrus Creamy Body Wash is exactly that – with a base of sesame oil so you leave the shower with supple feeling skin perfumed with lemons and oranges. Almond Hand Cream is rich with a delicate fragrance (and almond oil as an ingredient) while Sea Buckthorn does take a little longer than most body lotions to work in, but you can expect soft and smoother skin from it. I’ve never got to grips with Sea Buckthorn as an ingredient to be honest.. it’s not exciting although the brand has given it a citrus fragrance which is everything lovely.

At £35 I think this is a please-all gift because it’s so beautifully fragranced (naturally, with essential oils) – I have this as a stand-by present (you know, for the person who has NEVER gifted you before but out of the blue turns up on your doorstep with bounty) but I’m secretly hoping I don’t need to use it for that! You can find it HERE.
