The Body Shop Zesty Lemon Collection

[unpaid/sample/ad] This post ideally needs a searing hot day and a cool shower on the horizon but as it stands, I’m looking at grey clouds about to burst just as I head out to the dentist. Meh. However, those super hot days can’t be far away so stocking up on refreshers is a good plan.

The Body Shop Zesty Lemon Collection

My favourite thing is this grains-in-gel body scrub – just gorgeous – to apply to damp skin before you jump into that shower or bath. The scent of these lemony products is just the right side of fresh lemonade – a little bit bit sharp with the edges knocked down by sugar. It’s more citron pressé than R Whites.

The Body Shop Zesty Lemon Range

I love the fact that the lemons that have gone into this are the ones rejected by the food retailers (I am thinking of sad and weeping lemons – nobody likes rejection, right?!) making good use of fruit that would otherwise go to waste. There’s just nothing not to like about this range unless you are in that small category of people who hate lemons! Actually, I have a friend who doesn’t like anything lemony. It’s an all-round, feel-good collection that hits the summer mood square on. These are special editions about to go into stock (you can sign up for a notification when they do) so keep an eye out. Prices start at £5.50 for the shower gel – about the same price as you’d pay for a fancy pressé actually (make your own).  Head HERE.

Good morning Jane. Apologies for late post on this, I hope you are all keeping well at BBB towers. I love the sound of this lemon “reject” range and I will add it to my list. Attention Body Shop please bring back those legendary fruit soaps. I don’t mind if they’re the minis I remember or if they can go large. Life size banana soap.. now there’s something to wash your hands with! Have a great Friday and thank you as ever for your blog. Such a joy. Xx

There’s a new Cucumber collection too which I have yet to get posted – delicious. OMG – can you imagine the misinterpretations of a life size banana soap… it would certainly get a lot of coverage. :-)))))

Oh I’m sold and am going to the Body Shop now. I absolutely love anything lemony (eat, wash, perfume, anything) – although I’ve bought the grapefruit shower gel for years now I’m going lemon!! Have a super weekend.

      Enjoy!

But, but, but could I enjoy it after their Twitter account went so political over J K Rowling? I’m not a great J K Rowling fan more against the current politicisation of everything.

You’re not the first to mention this and I agree that it’s problematic. I’m trying to consider that we really do need affordable beauty products that are actually nice and lovely to use to create a broader and fairer landscape in beauty world. There are so many opposing views on literally everything (especially on Twitter which could drive you quite mad if you stay on too long – actually I read an interesting statistic that says 80% of Twitter content is created by 20% of users which made the scales fall from my eyes somewhat) that I think people have to make up their own minds about how they want to direct their money. Follow your heart 🙂

I just bought this Zesty Lemon Body Yogurt (The Body Shop, 6.91 oz) for the first time at Shopee online order her in the Philippines and received it. I was wondering, isn’t there a safety seal (tin over the cream) at all? As I opened the jar, the cream is exposed like how would I know if this is real or had been maybe tampered? Please advise…

I’ve just had a quick look at a Body Yogurt I have here and there is no seal – Body Shop cut down on excess packaging where possible and if the product
is stable and doesn’t need a seal, it doesn’t get one so you are safe to use it in my view. x
