Sol de Janeiro Coco Cabana Cream

[productsample/affiliatelink] How, when Brazilian Bum Bum cream was so widely covered over the past couple of years, I missed the fact that it smells so delicious, is anyone’s guess. It’s so tropical smelling – they say it’s salted caramel and pistachio which usually would have me running a mile, but to my nose it’s kind of fruity/caramel. I should say that if you hate foodie scents, this isn’t for you, and neither is Coco Cabana, their latest offering, which is a coconutty-praline combination.

Brazilian Coco Cabana Cream

Coco Cabana is more toasted coconut than anything – absolutely delicious – but it’s also a different, oil-in-water formula that’s much lighter on the skin than the body butterish Bum Bum but no less hydrating. They’re both really fun – and wisely, the brand has made a Coco Cabana Fragrance Mist in case you can’t get enough of it (it’s £18). In terms of hydrating ingredients, you can count caffeine fuelled Guarana, Cupuacu Butter, Acai and Coconut Oil as key players. They’re both very hydrating, and Bum Bum (pronounced Boom Boom but means exactly as it’s written) contains a pinch of mica to give your skin a glow. The fragrance, across both, is strong and acts as skin fragrance as well as moisture giver – I mean, you really wouldn’t need any perfume on top unless you’ve given it time to evaporate.

Neither are cheap, at £18 for the small pots and £44 for the larger, but if you’ve got a holiday on the horizon, it will put you right in the mood as well as getting your skin nice and supple. You can find all the new Sol de Janeiro launches HERE non affiliate HERE.
