[productsample/affiliate] I thought I’d kick off the week with something bright and fun – not a hint of winter in sight in this Carnaval set from Sol de Janeiro.
I’m sure everyone is familiar with the famous Bum Bum cream, which isn’t specifically for your bum-bum (it’s pronounced ‘boom-boom’ in Brazil) but more an all over body cream rich in caffeine fuelled Guarana (a circulation stimulant) as well as Cupaucu butter and coconut oil. When I smell this I think of coconut and frangipani type things and yet, the scent is actually pistachio and salted caramel. It’s a little brain/olfactory wiring thing that’s caught me out before.
Usually, I’d shy away from anything salted caramel but somehow in this blend it’s really quite pleasant and my nose is making it tropical for me so it’s a win-win. These gift sets are great as discovery sets – usually they have some extra value (in this case, it’s a £31 value to a £24 cost but you might want to wait until more aggressive offers start appearing) and it’s a lower cost commitment if you want to try something new. I love the brightness this has brought – both colour and fragrance – to an otherwise unremarkable Monday morning. It’s HERE.
