[productsample/affiliate] I don’t know how many times I glanced at this before realising it was hand cream! I suppose the word FOOD stood out so much that I just read ‘foot’ instead so I had a nice surprise.

Soap & Glory Call Of Fruity Hand Cream

Call of Fruity is a very particular scent so if you don’t like a blast of melony-vanilla-ish tropicalness then you won’t like it. I kind of do like this almost plastic smell – it reminds me of the scent of Barbie to be honest (although it’s a long time since I had a Barbie obviously!). I remember a candle once provoked that same new-doll olfactory reaction but I’ve completely forgotten the brand although I do know they weren’t very happy at the comparison (the PR even less so).

Remembering that this is £5.50 worth of hand cream, it does feel quite treat-ish, maybe because of the smile-making scent, but also, performance wise, it’s definitely doing the job. The cream forms a protective layer (unobtrusively) and gives the barrier you need to stop your hands drying out as the day wears on. There’s no SPF which kind of lets it down as a day to day staple, but it’s perfectly fine after washing up, changing a tyre or any number of things that knacker your hands. My hands feel and look softer for using it and don’t feel dry – that’s pretty much all a hand cream needs to do. It’s HERE.
