Neal’s Yard Remedies Hand Serum

[productsample] I have to be really in the mood for a hand serum – I guess it’s just one extra thing to do but since I’m being super conscientious about my beauty routines for a change (trialling a new retinol for a forthcoming post as well as a neck/decolletage range) then I may as well be in for the penny as well as the pound!

Neal’s Yard Remedies Frankincense Intense Hand Treatment Serum

It’s too soon to say whether there will be any dramatic difference but first impressions are pretty good. There’s an immediate difference in terms of moisture and smoothness with the formula forming a silky shield over the skin that feels lovely. The scent is very much frankincense so if you don’t like that warm, spicy fragrance it’s definitely not for you. I’m not super keen on it but found myself smelling the back of my hand on and off all afternoon – given that it’s used as a stress reliever in essential oil form, I wondered if I kept coming back for more because I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and flustered. It would take about 4 – 8 weeks to see any of the more permanent results such as dark mark reduction from rosehip seed oil derived Vitamin A (which unbelievably they’re still calling ‘age spots’ – hello, NYR – it’s 2019!) and for the skin to look more taut. It’s a beautiful serum that’s so easy to use so I’ll keep it by my laptop and endeavour to stay the course.

It’s £30 HERE.

It’s never occurred to me to use a hand serum. I don’t think I could justify £30 (I don’t even buy Neal’s Yard for my face!) but I might get a cheapy one to try out.
