Whenever I see ‘absolut’ spelled that way, it makes me think of vodka! Sadly, there’s none in here (feel free to whip up your own) but what there is is a beautifully fragranced bath oil. The bottom of the bottle is red which accounts for the red look in this picture but it’s remarkably clear as you can see in the main photo. It’s not a deep, hefty rose that leaves you in a heady fuzz of flowers despite a base of patchouli, but a bit cleaner than that with notes of blackcurrant and geranium. It is, overridingly, rose, though and the sort you just want to keep smelling. This is such a luxurious upgrade in a glass bottle for Molton Brown that it feels very decadent.
The oil is very newly launched – I’d recommend in a heartbeat to put paid to any January or February gloom and I was going to suggest it as a February birthday gift because it’s truly a delicious thing while hot-bath weather is still going on, but actually, I’d say keep it and love it.
Molton Brown Rosa Absolut Sumptuous Bathing Oil is £39 HERE (I’ve directed to the MB site because they’re offering a free 30ml sample with every order although rather meanly, it misses the 3 free samples for over £40 spend by £1). Damn.
