I was so pleased so have this arrive today for a multitude of reasons, not least because I had a big post written on the new language of beauty for older women and I deleted it by mistake! Argh.. so I have an entire afternoon’s work ahead of me replicating it. Something like this, the L’Occitane Beauty Easter Egg, is so quick and easy to talk about – I loved it on sight! Actually, it’s one of two – the other one is pink and contains the same products but in the Cherry Blossom version. Another reason to be pleased is that I have flowers from the weekend so something exactly right to put in the pictures alongside the product, and perhaps the most obvious reason is that it’s not chocolate! I still feel full up from Christmas on that particular thing.
I know we could go on forever about the commercialisation of every religious celebration but we all know it and have different views on the subject so no need for me to weigh in! As a family, we do Easter, not in a particularly religious way, although I do remember as a child being told what things symbolized but many people just see it as a spring celebration and family time. We’ve always gifted at Easter and sent cards although not in a major way, just tokens really and when all the family children were smaller, of course chocolate featured, which it still will, undoubtedly for as long as we ‘do’ the celebration. But your non-chocolate options are slim which is why I was so happy to see the L’Occitane Beauty Easter Eggs that really fit the bill – what a gorgeous gift. Inside, you’ll find Almond Shower Oil, 75ml, Almond Hand Cream, 10ml and an Almond Soap (same sizes for Cherry Blossom). My sample is going in the Easter box I always make up for my parents (some spring bulbs, a lipstick, nougat and biscuits this year) but I’m also going to get one for my sister. There is even a little bit of space in the egg tin for a few mini eggs if you’re feeling extra generous. Oh, I should also say that they are VERY limited… once they’re gone, they’re gone. They’re £15 HERE.
