Jurlique Rose Gift Set

This set is a dream for rose fans – it’s such a fresh, green rose scent; one of those that brings a quiet smile to your face when you smell it. Jurlique isn’t exactly an adventurous brand – they have a method that works and they stick with it. It was only back in March that I last posted about this brand and it was with an almost identical gift set – this one has a red box to ring the changes and make it festive!

Jurlique Christmas Set

The deal with Jurlique is that it’s certified biodynamic, so no artificial fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides and ingredients and ingredients harvested at specific times. Ingredients are steamed to release their essential oils and then percolated under a continuous water stream to extract the nutrients. So, things aren’t as simple as they seem. And neither are they in the background. Jurlique was originally founded by a German couple who emigrated to Australia (where Jurlique is made) but it’s now owned by a Japanese company, Pola Orbis. Japan is a great market for this brand because they’re very invested in ingredient purity in a way that in the UK we are not – yet. Another point to make about this brand is that they’re taking real steps towards sustainable palm oil, because while they don’t use pure palm oil, some ingredients contain it. More beauty brands could follow this lead to be honest – palm oil is the most destructive ingredient on the planet for wild life.

Jurlique was ahead of its time and is a front runner of the ‘cleaner’ beauty movement that’s becoming so much more important – if you’ve made a start on cleaning up your beauty routine with more natural ingredients, you’re going to like this, I think. The set is £64 (value of £85) HERE.
