[productsample] If you need to up the ante on hand cream now that there is a chill in the air, By The Sea by Heathcote & Ivory is a beautiful ozonic blast that does indeed set you in a warm sea breeze – olfactorily speaking.

It’s a mix of lemon and bergamot with iris, woods and tobacco (I couldn’t identify any of these last three) in an uncomplicated fragrance blend that just has a little zing of sea air that’s enough to make you feel, yes, it’s definitely that scent. I got the lemon straight away and while it’s a soft scent, it’s also quite a clean one which seems perfect for hands. Hand cream is what this brand does really well in a blend of shea, Vitamin E and glycerine so it’s both lightly film forming for barrier and moisturising. This particular collection, By The Sea, uses sustainably sourced sugar cane to form the tubes that are 100% recyclable.
I didn’t find the fragrance particularly long lasting – I mean, it says long enough for you to have the scent experience and then some more, but it wasn’t muddling my senses all day. I don’t particularly want a hand cream that clashes with anything else I’m wearing – I just want it to be more than a functional product for the time I’m actively engaged with it. If you want something fresh, uplifting and soothing, it fits the bill. I think it’s a nice buy at £12 HERE.

I’m sure I’ve said it before but heathcote and Ivory always, always nail it with their packaging.
I’ve got some white tea and bamboo hand cream of theirs in the car that’s at least 10 years old and hasn’t gone off yet!
I think you may have had them sell out. I ordered and recieved a refund a few hours later 🙁
oh no.. how disappointing.
