Frangipani Monoi is by far my favourite Elemis fragrance…. back in the day when there wasn’t the same amount of choice in products as there is now it shone like a beacon for being thoroughly exotic and intensely decadent. I’ll even go so far as to say that while there were plenty of body creams, a body oil was much rarer (we are talking 2004 which is when it launched) so it was doubly decadent! There’s nothing about this holiday island scent that I don’t love.
If anything is going to help you shrug off the winter blues, it’s this. Monoi is actually soaked gardenia petals while frangipani flowers smell sweet, soft and almost peachy. There isn’t – as far as I know – any coconut in this but it gives me the same feels as if there were. I find it very relaxing. You need to know that the Body Oil sets in the cold weather so if you have a freezing cold bathroom, you’ll need to pop it in a jug of hot water while you bathe – although it sounds like a faff, the benefit is a gorgeously warm oil just waiting to be massaged into your skin. It’s already a value set at £38 with a £63 value, but Fabled are running a 15% off (use code BLACKFRIDAY at check out) offer and free delivery HERE. Actually, I think this is a great winter birthday gift because it’s not a fragrance associated with Christmas.
