[unpaid/sample] If you’ve been on this site a while, you’ll know I’m a fan of the Transforming Body Lotion from Ameliorate that uses AHAs to smooth the skin and help eliminate bumps and dryness.

If it’s skin smoothing that you’re solely after, you’re better off with the original version, because while I do like the little twinkles that this imparts, I personally don’t think I want to draw attention to my skin bumps or dry patches (that Ameliorate is specifically for) by adding glitter. That’s not to say you shouldn’t, because really, who cares about a few bumps or patches, but I just know that for me, on certain areas, such as thighs, I would stick to the original.

It’s nice for shins and arms I think if you’re feeling fancy and want some tiny, light catchy areas that look pretty. In terms of ‘glow’ – that’s a very flexible term in beauty. There is a highlight element (hence the colour) that gives an extra gleam of light on the skin but I can’t say it falls into my understanding of glow exactly – I’d like to see this in an oil formula actually – to get that really flexible, hydrated and sheeny look on skin which is then given an extra boost from highlight or sparkles. It’s £22.50 (although, weirdly, £24 on Cult) HERE, non affiliate HERE.
