It might be that this bag is full of things you’ve always fancied trying which would make it an excellent buy, and MAC mascara is excellent, but personally it feels a little muddled to have so many different sites with differing offers. If it was, like Bumble, 20% off across the board, that would be pretty good and I’d be Christmas and birthday shopping right now, but it’s not.
What’s clear from the offers on the included leaflet is that the marketing departments of each brand have gone for maximum gain which I think might give them a slap in the face rather than the handshake they’re expecting. For a start, there are eight different offers, some sending you to counter (not forcing you, mind you!) and some sending you on-line. You’re required to join a mailing list for the Estee Lauder offers, and across the board, the offers are different, ranging from a straight discount to discounts with spend.
I’ve done beauty boxes – I know there is more gain to be had from making consumers feel they’ve got something generous and wonderful in their hands than there is in being demanding and confusing. Come on, guys, it’s really not that hard. Go for feel good every time – that’s what pays the dividends down the line. That said, it’s £25 and the full size MAC mascara has a value of £19.50, with the box totalling a value of £73. It’s available from 31st July and I’ll flag it up again in case you fancy it.
