YES to Grapefruit
YES to Grapefruit

When I first heard about Yes To Carrots, it was a quirky little brand – I was probably stalking some US beauty site – and in all honesty I didn’t really take it all that seriously because of the name. Fast forward several years and the whole Yes To brand has expanded, developed and morphed into rather a big brand in several different countries. So, my bad, because nobody else was put off by the name. From the humble beginnings of Yes To Carrots, there is now Yes To Cucumber, Yes to Tomatoes and Yes To Blueberries.

The latest in the line up is Yes To Grapefruit which is new to the UK, although not the US, and launches soon. The focus of Yes To is on natural ingredients – the massive 500ml Rejuvenating Body Wash( £9.99) is 95% natural and the smell is divine. Fruit acids help to distinguish it from regular fantastic smelling body washes – they will help to leave skin smoother as they are natural enzymatic exfoliants. It really does smell gorgeous – like tropical grapefruit, so not too sharp. There’s a great little facial scrub too for £6.99  (although if you have very sensitive skin, don’t use it daily) – a Vitamin C boost  like the rest of the range, focuses on evening out skin tone – personally I think you need something a little more lively than a scrub to make any inroads on that, which brings me neatly round to the Yes To Grapefruit Dark Spot Correcting Serum (£12.99) that’s a melt-on-your face consistency with a slightly weird smell. It’s definitely not grapefruits but hard to say what it is. I really like that this is an affordable range – it’s not pretending to punch above its weight, but just to deliver decent skin care at a decent price. Big like.

The Yes To Grapefruit collection launches into Boots on 7th April.
