Oh, hello summer in a palette! I love this new-to-the-UK brand from the USA that’s exclusive to ASOS. They’re an on-line only brand, even in the US and everything is cruelty free and sustainably made.
I have the Custom Eyes Palette in Smoke and Roses here – it swatched beautifully: very smooth and colour saturated. The star of the palette is the least obvious – it’s the cream shade at the beginning and it’s shot through with gold iridesence and is absolutely lovely.
I really like this entire colour edit – wearable but exciting at the same time. If you really want excitement, check out the Rainbow Brow Palette HERE! Not sure I would – or could – but there’s a line of unicorns somewhere just waiting for this!
The lipsticks – in silver and gold casings – are all matte and quite dry in the swatch so make sure that your lips are well conditioned before using these. But, they are dead flat matte, so they do give the intense matte look.
Shades I have here from bottom to top are: Smoke Show, City, Babe and Meow.
The gloss is a semi-sheer formula – very highly perfumed (vanilla-ish) and this shade is Truffle which is a toffee-ish nude that’s all of the flattering if you love a nude gloss. It’s also got a little poodle motif on the cap so to be honest, irristible to me!
Winky Lux ticks a whole lot of boxes as a newcomer to the UK – they seem to change up their product quite regularly with lots of limited editions and collaborations (they have a whole macaron thing going on that is all of the pretty), the quality is up there and the packaging is beautiful with selections for the make up adventurers and those of us who keep it lower key. Price wise, it’s mid to top (I think the palettes are too expensive): Glossy Bosses Lipgloss £14, Eyeshadow Palettes £30, Lux Matte Lip Velour Lipsticks £13 and a Strobe Balm at £16. You can find the Winky Lux Makeup collection HERE.

How did you swatch the eye palette? With the brush or using your fingers? Was a primer involved?
No primer.. although I had a body moisturiser on my arm.. and with a sponge applicator so that you can see the shades at intensity. x
perfect timing, I’ve been eyeing up the lipstick on ASOS. I love the packaging and Babe looks perfect for me, thanks!
I really like the look of those lipsticks! I’m always on the look out for good cruelty free makeup and these look like they fit the bill! Great post x
The pigmentation looks amazing. So does the lipstick bullet.
The palette is right up my street. I’m half tempted by the Smoke Show lipstick but it scares me a bit too!
I feel like I’d really enjoy the grey lipstick shade! The packaging is super cute too xx
Wow!! The pigment in the eyeshadows are so nice, definitely tempted me to get some haha
