When Packaging Goes Bad: SiennaX Illuminating Pencil Trio

This Illuminating Pencil Trio looks innocent enough but oh my – the packaging is dreadful.

Because…

Someone decided to glue the pencils at the bottom into the box.. meaning that all you get when you try and pull out a pencil is the lid! Wrestling the pencils out of the box, they’re all covered in glue at the bottom when you finally extract them.

Which is such a shame because the pencils are absolutely lovely to wear.. they’re so glisteny without being glittery and great value at £12 for the set of three.

  1. Ahhh the infamous “glue dots” packaging suppliers use to make sure the product doesn’t rattle in the box…or come loose. I guess it was cheaper for them to get the dots than have a perspex box…

Hi! Great blog. As you know a lot about beauty I thought I’d ask you a quick question – I have a friend coming from the US for Xmas and she loves make up and is looking forward to buying some new stuff over here – could you recommend any cult British brands that may be harder to get hold of in the US? It’s tricky as they can get so much more than us, what with Sephora and all.

  3. Also, the box looks a bit like a fanny.

What has been seen cannot be unseen and all that…

  4. Am I the only one who also thinks the outer packaging is a bit, urm, rudey
