As sexy names for products go, this really isn’t one of them… however, it is a spot treatment in a formulation that we’ve needed for some time. One of the big bug-bears about spot treatments is that they are far too drying and if there is one thing guaranteed to draw even more attention to a spot is a heap of dry skin flaking away around it.

Hyulaspot is completely clear and contains the usual suspect in spot clearance; salicylic acid, but crucially, also hyaluronic acid so there is no dryness to add into the mix – actually hyaluronic is also anti-inflammatory. It’s also got LHA that gently peels away old cells. The formula is also anti-bacterial and cleverly forms an invisible film over the spot so you don’t keep re-contaminating the area.
I haven’t (luckily) had need to test this out yet, but on the formula alone, it’s looking like the leader in a new generation of spot clearing treatments. It launches in March for £10.50.
