Velvotan Mitts

I *think* self tan was invented before self tan applicators – it seems inconceivable now that we applied self tan with bare hands but I am absolutely sure I remember orange palms and the confusion of avoiding them because you’d end up washing the tan off your hands. Or perhaps I just didn’t know about tanning mitts! It’s possible.

Anyway, Velvotan has taken to bringing out these handy, save your palms application mitts in bright and summery designs rather than just letting them go plain. I love that extra effort to be honest – it’s a very utilitarian product made much more happy looking by a bit of effort and thought. In past years we’ve had leopard print, flamingos and zebra stripes. This year we’ve got pineapples, palm trees and iridescent metallic to make the job fractionally less of a chore! They’ll be everywhere soon – I keep forgetting it’s not actually summer yet – so keep an eye out.
