Urban Decay Naked2 Basics

Once again, we’re a little behind the US in terms of Urban Decay launches – the Urban Decay Naked2 Basics palette looks like it’s a sell-out alreadyStateside. Even if you managed to batton down the hatches during the Naked, Naked II and Naked III storms, good luck with this one – it’s very, very tempting!

In fact, I think Urban Decay Naked2 Basics is a six pack of pretty – five brand new shades in a suit-all matte palette; Skimp (pale nude satin), Stark (nude-pink matte), Frisk (warm gray matte), Cover (muted red-brown matte), Primal (muted brown matte) and Undone (deep, smoky brown matte).

Urban Decay claim on their site that their matte shades aren’t chalky and it’s a good point – a lot of matte shades are like dust bowls and UD’s tend to have a more rich formula so that they’re on the buttery side of things. It basically makes them longer stayers and gives a better depth of intensity in the colours. For pale shades, that’s key.

Anyway, it’s a UK launch of October 1st for Urban Decay Naked2 Basics – and it’s £22.

Such great shades for everyday wear! I’m still using Naked 3 but would deffo love to try the basics palette!

  2. As soon as I saw the image I thought that surely another Naked Basics has got to be highly unnecessary, but actually it’s a lovely selection of everyday nudes. I think these would be great to pack on holiday along with either a black or a bright coloured eye liner.

  3. The first basics palette is amazing. This looks very similar, I’d love to see them side by side!

  4. How come I haven’t seen this yet! Will definitely be adding this to my birthday list O.o

  5. I do like the look of this but it is very similar to the original palette, which I already have. If I didn’t have the original I’d probably go for this one 🙂 xxx Thou Shalt Not Covet

  6. Pinky and taupy shades! And matte! I need it! (no I don’t, but you get the idea) 😉

  7. I seem like such a grinch but I would much prefer more releases like their older ones than these. I love the look of the Pulp Fiction one, but these just don’t set my heart a flutter.

That’s it! I surrender! No more ‘Naked’ bits Urban Decay, we get it you are the Queens/Kings of the Naked palette. Please stop, there’s only so much naked someone can handle.

  9. I bought the original naked palette and this one is so much better! This will definitely be joining the collection!

I really like the look of this but cant help but think they haven’t got it quite right again. I found the 1st had too many nude shades and this one seems to just have too many light to mid tone grays! I think there needs to be a bit more variety in the shades to make it a go to palette.

I can’t wait for this launch. The shades in this palette look more like my thing compared to the original Naked Basics xx

I was on the verge of getting Naked Basics but since seeing this coming out I think I’m going to save myself – the shades look much easier to work with for me!

I’ve resisted the Naked palettes so far, but this one looks tempting!
