Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

As if the Urban Decay Naked Palette didn’t cause enough of a stir when it launched last year, now we have Naked 2. But if you have Naked, do you really need Naked 2? Naked 2 is a bit better thought out – in a metal tin for a start; one of the things, if I am going to be picky, that annoyed me about Naked was the flock covering which is a proper dust gatherer. I think there is a bit more warmth about Urban Decay Naked 2 but overall if you have Naked you are kind of covered on the nude and neutral spectrum. I like Naked 2 – I’m a real neutral fan – and if it is your first forray into the world of nudes then it is a very good buy because you get just about every shade you could possibly need to do the look, plus a very dark brown to smoke it up properly and a lipgloss.

Although it has already launched in the US, don’t expect to see it in the UK until the New Year (February I believe). US price is $50 if you can find it anywhere.

    Love this palette.

  2. To be honest, I still can’t understand the hype around the Naked palette(s). Just out of curiosity, I counted the neutral colors that I own-and I found around 40!! Do I need more? Definitely not. And I’m sure that if I do a quick check, I will find dupes for most of the “Naked” colors.

Ok, for someone who just starts building a make-up collection this is a great investment. But I know for sure that most of the people who are over-excited abut these palettes already have big make-up collections. So… what’s the point then?

  3. wish i held out, i got my Naked 2 weeks ago before i heard about this. to be honest i prefer this as wearmer golden nudes which is more my style 🙁

  4. I’m undecided on this one. I don’t have the first one and probably have enough neutral shades in my stash really. I’m thinking it would be good for bridal work though!

I’ve got the first palette and I love it, so I want the second one as well – if its possible to find it online in some UK shop.

  6. I got ridiculously excited when I first heard about Naked2, but now I’m not so sure anymore.
All the colours are very pretty, wearable and I’d sure get some use out of it, but I’ve already got enough golds and browns and blacks. Is it really worth $50 or £35 (or whatever the price in the UK will be) when it’s just so bog standard?

  7. I agree Corina. I too have many individual neutral shadows and until someone demonstrates to me why either or both of these palettes is integral to my make-up collection, I’ll carry on resisting the hype. :S

I have the first one and am not that bothered by the second because the nice thing about that palette is that it’ll last forever. I wish they’d done that tin the first time round though!

I don’t have the original palette but I like the look of this one and would buy it but why so expensive?
