Urban Decay A/W 2011

There are some beautiful things coming up from Urban Decay, not least the 15th Anniversary Palette containing fifteen brand new shades in a gorgeous blingy box. There is a good mix of neutral and bright shades and I’ve found it on-line already from Debenhams. It’s quite expensive at £39, but the box is weighty and hasn’t skimped on style.

Next up are the Super Saturated High Gloss Lipcolors, £14 each. These really do live up to their name, but I’d suggest keeping them in the fridge because their consistency is quite loose for a pencil. It’s really clever to incorporate a gloss into a pencil and these certainly are glossy – the pay-back I guess is that when warm, they to tend to melt a bit. The shade I tried is Punch Drunk and gives mega-watt colour.

Stardust Body Glitter Kit is fabulous, but I think a bit on the expensive side at £30. It contains five super-fine glitters in silver, turquoise, gold, blue and pinky-red, a glue stick and stencils. I chose to try the bluebird stencil and the result is gorgeous!

The set is really easy to use although the packaging is a bit too flimsy for the price (£30) in my view and while it is a plus that once the stencil is in place the glitter adheres extremely well, the payback for that is it takes determination to remove it!

  1. I’m definitely most excited about the glitter set! The palette looks nice but I know I’ll never use the bright shades and my Naked palette has me set for neutral colours!

  2. I have just ordered the palette, and I’m happy to see we are getting the lipgloss pencils and that body glitter set is really adorable! 🙂 Do you know when those are going to be available? Thanks.
