When you think about it, skin care for kids is a very neglected area. There is plenty for babies and plenty for teens but nothing inbetween, which means that there aren’t any specialised cleansing or moisturising products for kids to get into any kind of skin care routine.
At first, I thought this didn’t matter, but actually, if your eight year old has dry skin, what do you do? Shove on oily emoilients or generic products like Vaseline that are probably far too heavy for very young skin or teen products which again, are too strong? There isn’t really anything that caters to that skin age. Blissworld in the States has picked it up, so to me that is a signal that this range is an absolute goer. Children’s skin is very different to adults’ with a much lower lipidic index and easily loses hydration. Toofruit’s points of difference are a sebum-like complex that moisturises and protects and a host of fruit derived ingredients. And, the products smell deeeelish! Coconutty-raspberryish – like a fruity yoghurt. Yum.
It’s no surprise then that Toofruit was created in France with dematologist backing all the way. It’s EcoCert stamped, meaning it is organic and free from essential oils, alcohol, silicone, PEG, nano particles, palm oil, sulfate, parabens and phenoxyethanol. This is a genius range that is lovely to use, gorgeously and naturally fruit scented and fills a gaping market gap. Expect to see it go massive when the Mumsnetters find it. www.toofruit.com (you’ll need Google Translate) or http://www.maxweltongroup.com/brands/toofruit/
