Just when you think there’s nothing else that base can bring, along comes Too Faced Born This Way Foundation; an oil free, coconut water infused blend with a dash of hyaluronic for good measure.
Too Faced Born This Way Foundation is a return to a higher level of coverage, but with excellent blendability and a ‘real skin’ look. In fact, when I tested it, I thought it felt a bit dry on application, but in terms of how skin looks with it on, there is definitely a gleam to the finish with light bounce that looks anything but dry. One of the main sells of Too Faced Born This Way Foundation is that it’s undetectable on the skin which I didn’t find particularly accurate, but that’s not to say that my skin didn’t look pretty damn good!
In terms of colour choice – only 12 which is poor, but if you find a colour match, I really think that there is a lot to be said for this formula. Containing Alpine Rose extract for brightening, hyaluronic for smoothing and coconut water for hydration, it’s perfect for older skin types who want a non-oily, dewy finish but some decent coverage at the same time.
Genuinely, I didn’t think I was going to like this product, but now that I’ve been hands-on with it, it gets a very high recommendation from me as a good weight foundation softens the look of your skin. Too Faced isn’t necessarily a brand that would attract older women, so Born This Way seems like a solid step into every-age beauty. It’s launching at Debenhams for £29 in August.
