I’ve got to confess that I find it really hard to get enthusiastic about hair gifts – I’d be nothing short of disappointed if I got shampoo for Christmas. However, a straw poll of friends says that hair kits are a really popular present – who knew? I guess if you are going the hair gifting route, then if it’s already wrapped in a designer bag – with a gorgeous print that will see you through all of the year (no santas!) – then it’s a job done.
The gifts inside the Toni & Guy Matthew Williamson Set are really thoughtful, too. A dry shampoo and a heat protection spray says party time to me – one’s a time saver when you most need it and the other is off-setting some of the torture that hair goes through when you need to look good for a prolonged period of time.
Actually, it’s quite interesting that Matthew Williamson print is hand drawn and digitally manoevered to give a graphic element, with the monochrome stars as an overlay. I guess you never really think about the technicalities and inspiriations, but apparently, the print is a reference to luxe interiors of the 70’s. Not sure I’d have guessed….
